Stand On Your Hands and Clap
Fall 2009 - Spring 2017
Founded in the fall of 2009 by Artistic Conductor, Allyson Gonzalez, Stand On Your Hands and Clap was a laboratory for experimentation in multimedia performance - at the intersection of publishing, puppetry, film and performance art. During the summer of 2012, Michael Heffler was appointed Executive Producer. In the spring of 2017, after a house fire occurred in their apartment and Allyson adventured in Alaska, new clarities forced Stand On Your Hands and Clap into early retirement. In over seven years, we've produced twelve original theatrical performances, three shorts films and independently published three zines, a novella, a super-sized and mini comics.
